Ingrid Bittar, 1989
Born in Rio de Janeiro, living in Berlin.
Child with grandma aspirations. constantly ingesting and digesting books, threads, paints, anything to keep the hands busy and the head distracted from the fact that the escape and what it once depicted became the reality.
Ingrid aka Britta started working with collage in 2012, years later her work unfolded into embroidery and watercolours. Her work deals with the private universe of domestic life, family origins, migration history, character formation and deformation. She acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from PUC-Rio in 2013 and complemented her artistic formation with courses at the School for Visual Arts Parque Lage.
